1974
# Vinabico was established as one of the first large-scale confectionery companies in South Vietnam.
# Vinabico and Viso were two companies borne around the same time by two brothers, one in confectionery business, one in detergent business. As such, they used to have identical swan logos which Viso still used until recently.

1975 – 1992
Vinabico became a state owned company. During this period, Vinabico was a major confectionery producer catering to the nationawide market.

1993
# Vinabico entered into a joint venture with Japan ’s Kotobuki Group with a view to acquiring advanced technological and managerial know-how.
# Vinabico – Kotobuki JV introduced to the market the first snack ever produced in Vietnam .Since then, this snack has always been a customer’s favorite with its nickname "Cua xanh" (green crab, derived from its unique green packaging with the picture of a crab). "Cua xanh" snack was also included in the "Major Industrial Products of Ho Chi Minh City " program by the city government.

2000
Vinabico was certified ISO 9002, and upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 in 2003.

2003
Vinabico acquired Kotobuki’s interests in the Vinabico – Kotobuki joint venture and later became Vinabico Confectionery Joint Stock Company as it is today.

1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005
Vinabico was elected as one of the Top Ten companies in the confectionery industry in Vietnam by the Vietnam ’s High Qulaity Products annual polls.

2005
Vinabico was voted one of the 500 Most Famous Brands in Vietnam in a nationwide survey by ACNielsen.

2006
Vinabico begins construction of a new, modern, HACCP-compatible factory in Trang Bang Industrial Zone (40 km from HCMC).
