COMPOSITION:

Bromhexine hydrochloride ...............8 mg

Excipients q.s ...............................1 tablet

(Lactose, wheat starch, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, PVP).

DOSAGE FORM:

Tablet.

PRESENTATION:

Box of 3 blisters x 10 tablets.

ACTIONS:

Bromhexine is a synthetic derivative from herbal active ingredient vascicine. It has been shown to reinforce mucus transfer by minimizing mucus viscosity and by activating the ciliated epithelium. In the clinical studies, Bromhexine showed to disintegrate mucus to help expectoration and relieve cough easily.

Bromhexine is well absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract. Food enhances Bromhexine's bioavailability. The drug is highly bound to plasma proteins (about 95% - 99%). Bromhexine is excreted mainly in the kidney as metabolites. The purification of Bromhexine is reduced in cases of renal impairment, hepatic impairment.

INDICATIONS:

For the treatment of respiratory tract diseases accompanied with increased mucus secretion such as acute and chronic bronchitis.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Hypersensitivity to Bromhexine.

Pregnant women or nursing mothers.

PRECAUTIONS:
